Lol – we have 6 cats. Let that sink in…yes 6 CATS!. Only had 2, took 2 in from my brother and his wife so they wouldn’t end up in the humane society (i.e. dead) and then inherited 2 more! Plus we have a 90lb dog half lab/half great dane. (would that make him a Labradane?)

All the cats are indoors (cause we have coyotes) and we survive because we have the cat genie. http://www.catgenie.com/

This might make it bearable for everyone.

Moving does suck.

Personally I feel my stepdad should ditch his cats, because he doesn’t have a RELATIONSHIP with them the way we do with ours, but he disagrees. Bleh…

I hear you on the cat issue. I inherited two when my mom died and I already had two. The four of them live with us in a smallish (1000 square foot) house and we make it work. It helps that one cat lives outside almost all the time and one is 19 and never moves. What we found was that as long as everyone gets enough attention, food, and has their own sleeping spot, it works out okay. It took about 6 months for all of them to get along. Good luck with your move. Moving sucks.

I agree – I’ve moved many times and it’s always more pleasant to move a bit at a time rather than freaking out and trying to cram it all in a couple of days. Plus three months gives you the luxury to deal with sell-able crap in a way to bring in some cash via eBay/Craigslist/garage sale versus dumping it in the alley to get picked over.

As for dating, have you tried eHarmony or eChemistry? Veronica is trying one or both of those sites now so you two could commiserate about either the awesomeness or suckitude (she found Match.com to be too ‘hook-uppy’)of their merits.
