Yesterday was relatively rough. Not only were the J-Man and I both hacking up a lung due to the Cold of the Century, the cat died at the vet’s.
The Fourth Kind buy This Boy’s Life move The J-Man was inconsolable. He sobbed, “I feel so bad for all the times I told her to shut up!”
Brokeback Mountain rip Ollie was very vocal, particularly during Homework Time.
divx willow We took her to the vet on Thursday expecting the worst, but she sort of rallied for a couple days. Yesterday, though, the vet called me with the bad news.
I feel badly, and my poor little guy is really taking it hard. So is my mother. We had the cat for nineteen years.
So, it was sort of a sucky weekend. Bullshit was sick, too, and we didn’t see each other.
I’m looking forward to going to Bullshit’s to hang out on Tuesday night and also going to hang out with some old high school friends on Thursday night.

Other than that, it’s cold. We actually had snow this weekend. I am so ready for spring.

Is it ever going to get warm? Seriously, weather, lighten up! I even heard that they’re forecasting snow for the weekend, which would be a serious bummer.
The TranceCave is freezing.
The J-Man and I have yet to kick our terrible colds, and if I see the little punk that infected us his days are numbered. Dear Parents: Don’t send your kid to someone else’s house when he’s dripping snot and hacking, Thank You.
I haven’t done much this week at all, but I did have a very nice visit with an old friend the other day, and another old high school friend is coming over tonight to hang out and have a drink. I’m very much looking forward to it.

I’ll admit that I haven’t been blogging very serious blogs lately, due to an overabundance of addictive social networking.
I’m very well, though. Still having problems on the sleeping front, but feeling really great. No seizures, no passing out. Just a nasty cold that is unfortunately taking the J-Man and I quite a few days to kick.
Speaking of kicking, I’m down to less than ten cigarettes a day. Starting Monday I’m weaning myself down to five. It’s going much better than it was trying to quit cold turkey. I find that most of the time, I don’t even think about them.
Today one of my best friends from high school is coming over to hang out and dish dirt. I’m very excited.

Insomnia is truly raging out of control. I’ve had roughly three hours of sleep in three days, and that’s a generous estimate. Prescription sleep meds seem to do nothing to touch it.
When I was on the back patch I could sleep 16 hours at a stretch, WHAT THE HELL HAS HAPPENED?
The J-Man is amazingly still sick, making this the first time he has missed more than one day of school ever.

The J-Man is sick, thanks to the infected child that came over the other day and coughed his viral vileness all over the house.
The cat seems to be quite sick, too. I won’t elaborate.
I’m feeling as sleep-deprived as hell, thanks to a late-night impromptu high school reunion on FaceBook. A group of my old friends is getting together this weekend to discuss all our old bad hairstyles/life choices/bad eighties clothing. Fun!
Facebook is proving to be quite the trip. Yesterday I talked to the guy who was the love of my life when I was eighteen. I also re-connected with a bunch of people from high school – dates and fellow pom-pon girls and what have you. It’s pretty wild.

As I sit here, wine in hand, laptop on bed, I can’t help but hearken back to the days of my early twenties, when Fridays were LIVE and EXCITING and people actually read this website and LEFT COMMENTS.

I am awash with joy, people. Never did I imagine such beautifully crafted crafty craftiness.
It’s heaven.
